Options will be given that incorporate AI as well as options that do not. Whether you want to leverage technology to facilitate personalized voice and choice, design AI-resistant tasks, or you just need some “use tomorrow” quick instructional wins, you'll leave with a practical idea for your own context. How do you know which AI tool will be the one to meet your need for differentiation? In this session, participants will take a tool-by-tool look at four free AI tools. With each tool, “pro tips” for use, as well as real world use cases, will be shared in how this tool can leverage the power of AI to differentiate and/ or personalize learning for students. Time will be provided to experiment with the tool, and sample prompts will be given as support as participants try out the various AI-powered ideas. Ideas for ML, EC, and AIG students will be shared. There are a few ideas that have students using AI, and these will be for grades 6-12. However, most of the ideas are from the standpoint of the K-12 educator.
Picture books aren’t just for young readers. They are powerful, versatile tools for secondary classrooms. This session explores how educators can use picture books to introduce complex themes, support content standards, and engage diverse learners. Participants will discover strategies for integrating picture books across subject areas and through teacher–librarian collaborations to enhance learning, spark critical thinking, and make content more accessible and meaningful for all students.
